Profile Oil Painting
So, after this painting I did of a girl’s profile had hung in my living room for a few months, I decided I pretty much hated it. I have completely changed it up, and I am pleased with the direction it’s heading. Probably 10x improvement. I am really digging it and so is Kevin. Win, all around! :) It is just a work in progress, of course.
Triptych, go!
I decided to paint the image of those three girls on canvas as a triptych. So far, it is proving to be a pain in my ass! I’ve only done a little over an hour’s work on it so far, but I think it’s going okay? The pain in the ass part is trying to do the lines without waiting for the oil to dry a bit. I am impatient, what can I say?
Busy, busy bee
I’m thinking about using the image of the three girls for my sort-of splash page I am working on making pretty. As far as art goes, I have watercolour class on Tuesday and I’m hoping to maybe transfer some of the super mojo I have going with my digital stuff into my watercolours. I am also working my ass off on getting this blasted self-portrait done; I’m starting to warm up to it a little bit more–but it’s still quite irritating. Next time I decide to draw an 8ft x 4ft drawing of my face–stop me. I need to buy a huge tube of white oil paint, too. And mattes. And frames.
First Print
This is my first print of any of my digital work. It’s pretty huge. Drawn for Cassidy and Kevin as a Christmas present! Granted I still haven’t gotten them their print in the mail yet… Soon, I promise!
